Now offering assistance with clients who have Parkinson’s Disease clients, their families and caregivers.

Parkinson’s Disease (PD) is a progressive brain disorder affecting over 1 million people in the U.S. Typically the disease is diagnosed between the ages of 60-65. Symptoms include movement, speech and swallowing problems to name a few. PD impacts the person suffering from the illness, their caregivers and loved ones. While there is no cure at present, there are a number of treatments. By closely following a treatment plan with the primary care physician as well as neurologist, the quality of life for the individual and family can improve considerably.

Our certified care manager and nurse Mary Anne Wonn, has been part of our team for over 6 years and has developed a special interest in PD. Through her knowledge and training, while acting as a liaison to clients and their physicians, Mary Anne provides clients with the optimum tools to succeed. She continues to stay current by collaborating with specialists, attending seminars and local programs related to PD in addition to her 25 plus years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner.
