
Susan Lewin
Susan Lewin, BA, MSW,LICSW,CMC is most recently past president of the New England chapter of Geriatric Care Managers (GCM-NE) and presently co-chair with her partner, Esther Rothkopf, of the upcoming 2012 Conference (November 5, 2012.) Susan received her undergraduate degree from Simmons College with a major in psychology and her Master's degree from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work with a concentration in gerontology. Her work experience includes women's health, 2 major hospitals, a nursing home, 2 home care companies following elders in their homes and clinical social work.
Susan supervised graduate social work students and has contributed articles in publications and newsletters in the fields of gerontology. Susan has been invited to speak on geriatric care management at numerous conferences and has authored many articles on elders and aging. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the New England Chapter. As a member of the chapter, in addition to having been president, she was chair of the Nominating Committee, chair of the Public Relations committee, Vice President, and created the Home Care Task Force to bring collaboration to the 2 industries.
Susan is also a member of MA Assisted Living Facility Association, MA Guardianship Association and the National Association of Social Workers. Susan is a wife, mother and grandmother and remains active in her community as a volunteer and board member of several non-profit organizations. Susan brings years of maturity, experience and compassion for others to her work as a care manager. Along with her colleagues at Generations, she served more than 1000 clients over the past 12 years.
Susan, along with Esther Rothkopf will be co-chairing the New England Chapter of Geriatric Care Managers Conference to be held on November 5th, 2012.
