
Mary Ann Wonn
Mary Anne Wonn, BSN,RN, CMC brings over 25 years experience to Generations. Mary Anne received her BSN from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She also holds a certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pittsburgh. Her experience is primarily in geriatrics where she has worked in the Acute Care setting, holding supervisory positions in long term care and home care. Just before joining Generations, Mary Anne worked as a Care Coordinator at a Metrowest assisted living facility.
She is a member of the MA Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association and specializes in assisting our many clients living with this progressive illness.
Mary Anne is an active member of the Liberty Alzheimer’s Partnership and is a trained Alzheimer support group leader. She was a SHINE counselor who assisted elders in her community understanding and applying for Medicare D, the medication part of the Medicare benefit as well as interpreting and applying for health insurance.
Mary Anne is a certified member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the New England Chapter. She has served the Chapter as Secretary and is presently Chair of the Public Relations committee. In addition, Mary Anne serves on the National organization's Public Relations board. She was awarded Outstanding Chapter Member 2010.
Mary Anne is married and has two grown children. She is passionate about her work with the senior population. She recognizes how difficult it is for clients and their families to understand the complexities of the health care system. Her nursing background brings another dimension to what Generations offers their clients and her experience and personality make her a valuable asset to our "team" approach.
